Job Summary
The Project Manager supports Northern Light's hospital-based radiology contracts by leading projects that ensure clinical quality, regulatory compliance, physician alignment, and operational performance. This role serves as a key liaison between hospital clients, radiology physician groups, and internal RMC teams to ensure services meet Joint Commission, ACR, CMS, and contractual requirements across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects supporting hospital-based radiology physician services, coverage optimization, service line expansion, and performance improvement initiatives
- Partner with radiology medical directors, physician leadership, and hospital administrators to align clinical practice standards with RMC and hospital expectations
- Support medical staff governance, radiology service line committees, and quality councils
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across hospital clients, ensuring consistent execution and documentation
- Develop project plans accounting for varied hospital environments, 24/7 coverage models, and site-specific requirements
- Track milestones, risks, corrective actions, and deliverables across contracts
- Lead and support initiatives ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards applicable to diagnostic imaging and professional services
- Coordinate ACR accreditation readiness activities, including documentation, policies, technologist and physician qualification verification, and quality control processes
- Support tracer methodology preparation, mock surveys, and corrective action plans related to radiology findings
- Ensure standardization of policies, procedures, and documentation across client sites, aligned with RMC best practices
- Support implementation and monitoring of radiology quality programs, including peer review, discrepancy management, critical results reporting, and turnaround time (TAT) metrics
- Coordinate quality improvement initiatives tied to hospital KPIs, ACR standards, and professional services contracts
- Assist with development and maintenance of physician scorecards and performance dashboards
- Support implementation and monitoring of radiology professional services contracts, including service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators
- Ensure successful technology integrations with hospital partners occur on time and on budget.
- Coordinate with vendors supporting radiology operations (teleradiology, peer review platforms, QA tools)
- Assist with coverage models, productivity reporting, and staffing optimization
- Serve as a primary point of contact between hospital clients and RMC internal teams (credentialing, compliance, IT, revenue cycle)
- Support integration of radiology physician services with hospital clinical workflows
- Facilitate issue resolution and escalation across hospital and RMC stakeholders
- Prepare executive-level reports, accreditation readiness summaries, and quality dashboards
- Support change management initiatives related to new hospital contracts, regulatory changes, or clinical standards
- Communicate effectively with physician leadership and hospital executives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Radiologic Sciences, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in hospital-based radiology operations, or healthcare project management
- Demonstrated experience supporting Joint Commission surveys and/or ACR accreditation activities
- Experience working directly with physicians, hospital administrators, and multi-site healthcare clients
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Experience with Radiology Management Companies or national physician services organizations
- Healthcare experience is preferred
- Familiarity with ACR modality accreditation requirements and Joint Commission imaging-related standards
- Experience with PACS/RIS/EMR systems (e.g., Epic Radiant)
- Strong knowledge of radiology regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards
- Excellent physician relationship and client management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects across diverse hospital environments
- High-level analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Clear, professional communication with executive stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with strong attention to organization and detail.
- Performs other project management duties as assigned.
- May require off-hours availability during go-lives, surveys, or coverage transitions
