Hospital Based Radiology PRN

Northern Light Radiology Associates is seeking a qualified and motivated Radiology PRN professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of hospital-based radiology practices, possess strong technical skills, and be committed to providing high-quality patient care. This position will involve working in a fast-paced environment collaborating with clinical operations and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other staff members to coordinate patient schedules and ensure smooth workflow within the department. 
  • Assists the Physicians with the daily workflow of imaging patients and reports from all modalities used for care of patients within the system. 
  • Communicates messages involving physician offices, patients, other hospital departments and radiologists following up on these in a timely manner. 
  • Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the timely delivery of imaging results and reports. 
  •  Monitor and manage equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. 
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. 
  • Train and supervise staff members to ensure adherence to departmental protocols and quality standards. 
  • Act as a liaison between the radiology department and other healthcare providers to facilitate communication and collaboration. 
  • Demonstrates problem solving, active listening, time management, organization and adaptability skills. 
  • Possesses ability to provide a strong customer service via email communication and phone etiquette in a high stress environment. 
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite and radiology imaging anatomy. 

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or related field. License Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred.
  • Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and state licensure (if applicable).
  • Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures, techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Previous experience in radiology operations or healthcare management preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with physicians and operations team members.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and electronic health records systems. 
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a radiology setting, preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

Schedule Requirements:
